A FEW GOOD ANSWERS

Glad you asked.

Everything you need to know about the current TheMCSource preview.

01 / GETTING STARTED

A new place to begin.

What is TheMCSource?

TheMCSource is an upcoming directory for Minecraft communities. The current website previews how discovering servers could look, using fictional sample listings.

Can I join the servers shown on the homepage?

No. Evergreen SMP, CloudNine, and Block Party are fictional examples. There are no connection addresses, live player counts, or real server listings in this preview.

Do I need an account or a payment?

No account or payment is required to explore the preview. Registration, purchases, and paid promotions are not available.

Is this an official Minecraft website?

No. TheMCSource is independent and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

02 / FINDING SERVERS

Find your kind of Minecraft.

How do search and game-mode filters work?

Enter a server name, mode, or keyword on the homepage. Choose a game-mode filter to narrow the three sample listings. Search and filters combine; select “All servers” and clear your search to reset the results.

What do Java and crossplay mean?

Java refers to Minecraft: Java Edition. Crossplay generally describes servers that allow Java and Bedrock players to play together through additional server software. Compatibility depends on each real server’s configuration; the preview labels are examples.

Does TheMCSource host Minecraft worlds?

No. The website is being built to help discover independently operated communities. It does not provide Minecraft game hosting.

03 / SERVER OWNERS

Room for your community.

Can I list my server yet?

Submissions are not open. Visit our contact page for the available support channel and to share your interest when it is published.

Are voting, live status, or paid placements available?

Not yet. Voting delivery, Minecraft server polling, payments, and owner management tools are planned features. No launch dates have been announced.

04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Let’s get you unstuck.

The page looks like plain text. What should I do?

Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Command+Shift+R on macOS). If it persists, check the status page and let us know through the contact page. The site’s stylesheet may not have loaded correctly.

Why am I seeing no search results?

The preview has only three samples. Clear the search field and select “All servers” to see all of them.

Does a healthy status mean every Minecraft server is online?

No. The status page checks this website’s application and built assets. It does not check Minecraft servers, internet connectivity from your location, database, cache, email, or payment services.
